  • Peachtree Ridge fell to 0-2, and the Lions still have not scored a point in 2012. In a 3-0 loss to Parkview on Friday, the Lions' defense forced three first-half turnovers, but the offense could not do anything with the ball. "Our offense can't score," Ridge coach Mark Fleetwood told the Gwinnett Daily Post. "We have to make some changes. That's where we're at."
  • Collins Hill (0-1) came up short against Central Gwinnett. QB Brett Sheehan completed 17 of 34 passes for 174 yards and rushed for 72 yards. However, the Eagles had 82 yards in penaties in the first half. "Our effort was bad tonight. We didn't come ready to play," Collins Hill coach Kevin Reach told the Gwinnett Daily Post.

This week, North Gwinnett and Peachtree Ridge are idle. Collins Hill plays at Dacula on Friday (Sept. 7).
