North Gwinnett Teams Advance in State AAAAA Tourney

Girls roll past South Gwinnett, boys slip by Central Gwinnett in Suwanee.

Both North Gwinnett High basketball teams won Friday night in Suwanee to advance to the next round of state AAAAA play.

The boys won 59-52 over Central Gwinnett, and the girls rolled to a 67-29 victory over South Gwinnett.

The victory means the girls will travel to Woodstock, a No. 1 seed, next week. The North boys will play the winner of Saturday's Wheeler-Northview game. If Wheeler wins, it would be the host team.
