Suwanee High School Football Stars To Be in National Game

North Gwinnett's Sawyer and Peachtree Ridge's Glass are selected for the All-American Bowl.

Two Suwanee high school football stars have been selected to be in a prestigious national event next January.

Defensive lineman Dante Sawyer of North Gwinnett and defensive back Nick Glass of Peachtree Ridge will participate in the annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio on Jan. 4, 2014, according to a news release.

Also, each student will be presented with an All-American Bowl jacket or jersey in ceremonies at their respective schools this week, the release said.

The selection tour crosses the U.S. in late fall. By the time it's over, it will have selected 90 players, in addition to 125 band and color guard members who will participate in the game, the release said.

North Gwinnett is the top ranked Class 6A team in Georgia this year, and Peachtree Ridge is No. 5.
